Valence’s Global headquarters are based in Austin, Texas. We have a 22,000 square foot facility which houses our corporate management team. As well as corporate activities Valence Austin acts as the central hub for our North American Sales and Applications Engineering support teams. Austin is also the base for our Product Engineering group.

Valence Energy Tech (VET) was established in May 2004 with initial investment of $15 million.
There are two facilities located in close proximity within Suzhou Industrial Park, combining to give almost 100,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and employing over 400 staff. The ISO 9001 Certified plants are the core manufacturing facilities for Valence globally for cathode materials and pack manufacturing. VET deploys SPC methods of manufacturing and is currently working towards TS16949 accreditation.
VET is split into the following divisions:
- Manufacturing
- Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- Quality Assurance (QA)
- Product Engineering
- Logistics
To meet ever growing forecasted demand Valence has undergone an extensive capacity expansion program during 2008. The company has invested $4m in upgrading the two facilities to enable a ramp-up capacity to 100+ metric tones of cathode material per month and almost 20 mega watt hours per month of battery modules. Investments include state of the art furnaces, welding stations wet ball mill and spray dryers.
Focussing on high capacity equipment and automation Valence has maximised floor space usage and minimised head count increases through increased efficiencies and improved processes. Our powder and pack processes are easily scalable to meet future demands. And Valence is planning to develop new product lines including new battery formats and customized solutions such as custom trays.
Since 2006 Valence has shipped over 10,000 energy storage modules to customers globally. VET services sales offices in Europe and North America.
