The CANbus ToolKit includes a CAN to USB converter, plus associated application software, that enables a user to easily monitor and/or log the data being transmitted onto the CANbus by the U-BMS.
No prior experience of CAN communications is required as the application software translates all of the U-BMS CAN messages into engineering units and shows this data in a simple display window.
If logging is activated the data is saved to file in a CSV format.
The information displayed/logged includes:
- System mode (standby / drive / charge)
- System SOC
- System current
- System voltage
- System minimum and maximum temperatures
- System charge voltage set point
- System charge current set point
- System warnings and alarms
- Over voltage
- Under voltage
- Over temperature
- CAN communications timeout
- Loss of communications with modules
- Number of modules communicating with U-BMS
- Isolation state
- Module level information
- Cell block voltages
- Module SOC
- Module current
- Modules maximum temperature
- Module balancing state
